Take a look at the following examples:
“Binatang kesukaanku adalah beruang kutub karena mereka adalah binatang yang kuat.”
“My favourite animals are polar bears because they are strong animals.”
“Seandainya aku beruang, aku akan membeli mobil itu.”
“If only I had money, I would buy that car.”
Just like what the examples have shown you, the Bahasa Indonesia word beruang can have the two meanings of “bear” or “to have money” in English.
Although the words have exactly the same spelling, they are pronounced slightly differently and are both used in completely different contexts.
